Youth One Stop and DC Works Host the Poughkeepsie’s Slam Dunk Basketball Tournament!

The Workforce Development Center’s Youth One Stop Program enjoyed a fun weekend kicking off this summer with DC Works, hosting the Poughkeepsie’s Slam Dunk Basketball Tournament on June 30th and July 1st at Malcolm X Park in the City of Poughkeepsie.

Career Action Center Launches the Youth Entrepreneur Program

The Career Action Center is proud to present our newly launched Youth Entrepreneur Program (YEP). In collaboration with the City of Poughkeepsie’s Youth Activities and Opportunity Grant Program, the Youth Entrepreneur Program is designed to provide local area youth with foundational knowledge and essential leadership skills needed to develop original business ventures within their local community in preparation for today’s workforce.

The Next Gen Career Academy Program Marks One Year!

The Next Gen Career Academy Program (NGCA) has successfully completed one year! This program which is open to juniors and seniors in Dutchess County schools provides students with paid work experiences in a career interest of their choice within their communities.
