DESCRIPTION:The AHA's PALS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. This classroom\, Instructor-led course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment\, basic life support\, PALS treatment algorithms\, effective resuscitation\, and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children\, resulting in improved outcomes. You will need to review your text before class and complete the pre-course assessment. Information on how to access the pre-course assessment is on page ii of the text. The text is mailed once your registration is processed so please register at least 10 days prior to the class date. Fee: $265.00 includes text. Successful course completion results in a two-year PALS certification from the American Heart Association. THE PALS TEXTBOOK IS REQUIRED FOR THIS CLASS. YOU MUST BRING YOUR TEXTBOOK AND PRE-ASSESSMENT RESULTS PRINTED OUT TO CLASS WITH YOU Class sizes are restricted meaning that prior registration and payment is required.
