DESCRIPTION:The Brookmeade Community in Rhinebeck has designated October as Dementia Awareness Month.  During October\, Brookmeade will be offering Dementia Care training to At Home Caregivers. Brookmeade's Director of Staff Development Carol M. Ryan\, RN\, BSN will present ''Dementia\; an Overview'' on Tues. October 13th at 4:30 pm and on Thurs. October 29th at 5:30 pm.  Angela Numssen\, MS OTR/L Director of Rehabilitation at Brookmeade\, will present ''Dementia & Rehabilitation'' on Wed. October 14th at 4:00 pm and on Wed. October 28th at 6:00 pm.  All training will be held at Arbor Ridge\, Brookmeade's Independent Living residence.  11 Mountain Laurel Lane\, Rhinebeck\, NY 12572.  Food and refreshments will be served.  The public is welcome to attend\, free of charge\, however seating is limited so please call 845-876-2071 x107 to register.
