SUMMARY:Business Education Seminar
DESCRIPTION:***Registration is now closed. \n\n\n\nAs you move through your career\, the more likely you will have to communicate ideas clearly and powerfully in group settings. From saying a few words in a meeting to making a formal presentation to the board\, a winning speaking style will help convey messages with credibility and confidence. What if today  you were asked to speak before a group of employees\, co-workers from another department\, clients\, executives\, or the public? Would you be ready and effective? The reality is\, most people would rather do anything other than speak in public\, and it shows when they do.\n\nThe Business Education Committee of the Chamber will host an interactive workshop with Toastmasters Linda Farley\, Diane Miller and Skip Weisman offering simple tools and techniques to help calm nerves\, cut prep time in half\, and double your impact! \n\nDuring her career at IBM\, Linda volunteered on a variety of committees including Diversity projects in Work/Life Balance\, Women's Interest Network and in Academy of Technology Communication and Leadership training programs.  Regardless of where she spent her time\,  her primary focus was always with an eye toward helping others. \n\n\n\nIn 2014\, she joined IBM Toastmasters club\, with the intent on improving her presentation\, speaking\, and leadership skills.  She soon discovered that being part of Toastmasters enabled her to add value to people's lives in ways she hadn't anticipated. Retiring in 2017\, Linda now devotes herself full time to enhancing the skills of Toastmasters members throughout the Northeast as well as providing assistance to individuals personally and in corporate environments in realizing their true potential through her personal/business coaching practice\, Cycles of Life Management Services.\nSponsored by: Mehl & Associates\, CPA's\, and Stenger\, Roberts\, Davis & Diamond\, LLP\np.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 10.7px 0.0px\; font: 15.0px Calibri}
