DESCRIPTION:Founder's Day Celebration at Fishkill Farms\n\nSunday May 29th\, 2016\n11am-5pm\n\nJoin us to celebrate our founder\, Henry Morgenthau Jr.'s 125th birthday. FDR's advisor and wartime Secretary of the Treasury\, Henry was a farmer long before he was a statesman. \n\nWe're excited to share Fishkill Farms' long and storied history with you. Come for tastings of local food and beverages\, great music\, horse-drawn haywagon rides\, and games the whole family can enjoy. \n\nA Long and Storied History\n\nThe festival will revolve around an exhibition of never-before-seen historic memorabilia. This includes original war bonds posters\, playful letters between FDR and Morgenthau who mercilessly teased each other\, and stunning photographs owned by the Morgenthau family and the FDR Library Archives. \n\nPerhaps best of all\, we're screening exclusive home videos shot between 1933 and 1942\, of a crucial wartime meeting between Winston Churchill\, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Fishkill Farms' Founder Henry Morgenthau Jr. that took place at Fishkill Farms.\n\nSwingin' Music \n\nLike any good birthday party\, we'll have lots of music\, food and drinks! Swingin' jazz combo band by Seth Kessel and the Two Cent Band will be performing from 12pm-4pm.\n\n\n\nComplimentary Hudson Valley Tastings\n\nEnjoy complimentary tastings of wine\, spirits\, cheeses and other artisan products hand-crafted by local producers in the Hudson Valley. \n\nPig Roast and other Delicious Food\n\nWe're roasting a whole locally-raised pig\, so get hungry and be prepared for crackling\, juicy pork\, and we'll also have our house jerk chicken\, hotdogs\, hamburgers\, veggie burgers and corn.\n\nHorse-drawn Wagon Rides \n\nThese unique\, old-fashioned trips with real draft horses will be given around the orchard for the duration event.\nFun for Kids\n\nKid's crafts and workshop in the barn and our new cornhole games out on the lawn will be fun for the whole family.\n\nTicket & Rain Date Info\n\nWe're expecting a great turnout for this

Hopewell Junction NY\, 12533 Our farm is located just off of I-84 in the town of East Fishkill\, New York. We are an hour and a half north of New York City\, and 20 minutes south of Poughkeepsie by car. Take I-84 West from the Taconic Parkway\, or East from Beacon/Newburgh\, to exit 15/Lime Kiln Road. Left off exit ramp onto Lime Kiln Road South. Proceed less than a mile to stop sign\, make a right onto East Hook Cross Road and our farm entrance is on the right less than a mile ahead.
