LOCATION:9-12 Vassar Street\, Poughkeepsie\, NY 12601 9-12 Vassar Street\, City of Poughkeepsie. The Arts Center\, housed in two 19th Century buildings\, is a not-for-profit organization which promotes education..in science\, literature and art through a variety of cultural and civic activities. The buildings were created through the vision and generosity of the npehews of Matthew Vassar\, and operate under the auspices of the Cunneen-Hackett Charitable Trust. Both buildings have been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1972.
