DESCRIPTION:To Kashura with Love Benefit Dinner\nPastor Ward and Deacon Rich of St. John's Lutheran church will be traveling to Bukoba\, Tanzania with a group from the Metropolitan NY Synod in October.  St. John's has established a relationship with Kashura Lutheran Parish in Bukoba for the past 3 years\, and this trip will allow them to visit multiple ministry sites\, the educational school of Diocese\, Kibeta Englism Medium\, Primary School (KEMPS)\, and attend the installation of a newly-elected bishop of the NW Diocese. \nTo help defray the cost of $3\,200 per person to make this important synodical trip\, connecting congregations with one another\, a special Benefit Dinner will take place on Saturday August 29 at 6pm in the St. John's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.  It will be hosted with the support of the Congregation-to-Congregation Committee that sustains this vital relationship between Kashura Parish and St. John's. A free-will offering will be received during dinner and entertainment will be provided by the Saints and Sinners Band from 7:00-8:00PM.  Slides of the 2010 trips will be on display throughout the evening. Please call the church office 845-452-1550 or email jjones@stjohnselc.org to register for the dinner.
