46 Brookmeade Drive, Rhinebeck, NY 12072
The Baptist Home at The Community at Brookmeade is located one mile east on Route 308 from the traffic light at Route 9 and E. Market St. (Route 308) in Rhinebeck.
On the afternoon of Wednesday September 24th The Brookmeade Community will host ''Art in the Garden'' celebrating the creativity, imagination, and self-expression of residents of The Baptist Home through ''Explorations in Art'', part of their innovative NEW DAY program. Finding effective avenues for self-expression and communication is important for every individual, but this is especially so for those living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. The Baptist Home has become the premier long term care facility in NY State because of its dedication to person centered care and for constantly seeking new and innovative programs to enhance the quality of life for its residents. Their ''Explorations in Art'' program has been encouraging self expression for the past 6 months and residents are eager to share their work with the greater community. The public is welcome to join the festivities, which will be held in Brookmeade's Sensory Garden, to view residents' artwork set amid the beauty and tranquility of nature. Guests will enjoy an afternoon of music and refreshments.
