Description
Dear Friends, With spiking utility bills and talk of an energy highway, many in the Hudson Valley are thinking of ways we can be more energy efficient. Have you ever thought about how to make your home, business or community more energy efficient? Have you wondered where to start, what options are out there, and how much these things cost? For answers to these questions and more, please join us for Preparing for the Hudson Valley's Energy Future on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 6 PM. The forum, which our office is hosting in partnership with the New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund, will be held at the Cary Institute for Ecosystem Studies, located at 2801 County Road 44A, Millbrook, NY 12545. The Preparing for the Hudson Valley's Energy Future forum will include two panel presentations. The first panel will feature an architect, engineer, mayor and other professionals with first hand experience in energy-efficiency projects. The second will focus on available financial incentives and other support programs. There will be information available for municipalities that want to improve their energy efficiency and vendors from the industry will be on hand during and after to answer any questions. Energy costs are on everyone's mind in the Hudson Valley right now; this past winter was a cold wake up call that put enormous financial stress on many people. Our goal is to provide helpful information about increasing energy efficiency for homes, businesses, farms and municipalities. Please reserve your space for Preparing for the Hudson Valley's Energy Future today! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Kimberly Usewicz from our office at usewiczk@assembly.state.ny.us and (845)454-1703. We look forward to seeing you there!
