Description
Much has changed in the three and a half years since the start of the Arab Spring. Since December 2010, dictators were deposed in Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya; most countries in the region saw peaceful protest or violence; civil war broke out and continues in Syria. Where does the Arab Spring stand today? Join us for a panel discussion featuring M. Glen Johnson, Emeritus Prof. of Political Science, Vassar College; James Ketterer, Director, Institute of International Liberal Education, Bard College; and Ruth Beitler, Prof. of Comparative Politics, U.S. Military Academy. This World Affairs Council event is free and open to the public, and will include ample opportunity for audience Q&A. It begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 1 at the Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Education Center, FDR Presidential Library, Hyde Park, NY. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.
