3-16-2021 The newly revitalized Poughkeepsie Public Schools Foundation (PPSF) appointed Hudson Valley powerhouse G. Angela Henry as its first-ever executive director. Angela oversees fundraising and grantmaking efforts, working with trustees and community partners to support and enrich student education in the Poughkeepsie City School District. Angela has a BA in early childhood development from Tufts University and a master's in education administration, planning, and social policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Henry has served as a teacher and administrator and, more recently, as a consultant for nonprofit organizations nationally. Local clients include the Barrett Art Center, Beatrix Farrand Garden Association, Cary Institute of Ecosystems Studies, Dutchess Community College, La Grange Public Library and Walkway Over the Hudson.
