The Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps (BVAC), Dutchess County’s only nonprofit ambulance service, joined dozens of community organizations in participating in National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign intended to celebrate and foster first-responder relationships with the wider community. Six members of BVAC were on site at Gerring Park in the Town of Fishkill to promote volunteer recruitment, educate residents about EMS and safety and connect with families through interactive handouts, stickers and coloring books.
