(Kingston, NY) The Code 9 Project, in partnership with Ulster Savings Bank, is bringing a series of free, stress intervention trainings to Kingston on September 25–27, 2025, at the Ulster Savings Bank Training Center at 180 Schwenk Drive.
These training courses are designed to provide critical tools for both active duty and retired first responders, military personnel, veterans, and their families to manage the unique stresses of service and to prevent the devastating impacts of trauma and suicide. Comprised of active-duty and retired first responders and military personnel, this national non-profit is an entirely volunteer organization. The Code 9 Project has become a national leader in peer support and proactive wellness strategies for frontline communities. The organization focuses on education, prevention, and resilience-building to strengthen not only service members, but also the families and communities that stand beside them.
“Behind every badge and uniform is a person — and behind them, a family. Our mission is to make sure they all have the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive,” said Ret. Captain Gordon Smith, Code 9 Project Peer Support Director.
The September training courses include:
- Frontline Personnel Training: Sept. 25–26, 2025
- Family & Support Staff Training: Sept. 27, 2025
All sessions will take place at the Ulster Savings Bank Training Center, 180 Schwenk Dr, Kingston, NY.
“We are so honored to partner with Ulster Savings Bank to offer these life-changing trainings to the community” – stated Brandielee Baker, cofounder of The Code 9 Project.
