(Nov. 5, 2025) – Sohns Appliance Center, one of the Hudson Valley’s most trusted family-owned appliance retailers, is proud to announce the grand opening of its second location in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., marking a major milestone in the company’s more than 100-year history of serving local families with dependable products, expert advice, and exceptional service.

The new Sohns Appliance Center showroom, located in the South Road Square Plaza on Route 9, will officially open to the public on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The Poughkeepsie location expands the company’s reach beyond its flagship store in Walden, N.Y ., and introduces a spacious, modern shopping experience featuring the latest in premium appliances from GE, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, and other leading brands.
