The Health & Wellness Steering Committee of the Chamber will host a hike up Stissing Mountain to enjoy the beautifully scenic views and cooler fall weather.
Join us on Saturday, September 15 (with a rain date of September 22) to learn hiking safety information and then hike up the mountain. This hike will last approximately two hours, starting at 9:00 and will include tips on how to avoid injury, proper stretching techniques, and hiking safety. Participants are encouraged to bring plenty of water in non-disposable containers to carry while hiking, as well as an energizing snack. PROPER HIKING BOOTS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS HIKE.
The hike is open to anyone – frequent breaks can be taken along the way to rest and to enjoy the scenery. This is a short but challenging hike, covering about 1.9 miles of steep and rocky terrain. Dogs are not permitted on preserve property.
Parking area and trailhead are located 355 Lake Road, Pine Plains, NY 12567.
