Large employers throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley are invited to attend a FREE Health Care Reform seminar at the Courtyard Marriott, 17 Westage Drive / Route 9 & I-84 in Fishkill on Wednesday, October 8th from 9:00am – 12:00pm. The seminar will be hosted by John Jeffreys, ChHC®, RHU®, Healthcare Reform Specialist at Ulster Insurance Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Ulster Savings Bank. The seminar, which targets area businesses with 50 or more employees, will review a number of common healthcare reform questions faced by businesses, including: • Who is covered by the definition of ''full-time employee''? • Measurement, administrative and stability periods – what do they mean? • Are your benefits considered ''affordable'' to your employees? • What are the ''essential health benefits''? • Should you continue to offer health insurance? • What penalties should you anticipate, if any?
